1. How to cancel
- Sign in โ Settings โ Billing.
- Click Cancel subscription.
- Optionally pick a reason (helps us improve, not required).
- You'll get a confirmation email immediately.
That's it. We don't make you call, write, or jump through hoops.
2. What happens after cancellation
- Your subscription stays active until the end of the paid period โ full access to every feature.
- At period end, the account moves to status cancelled โ login still works, you can browse + export data, but no new invoices/bills can be created.
- Data is retained for 90 days after period end โ restorable in one click if you re-subscribe.
- After 90 days: business data deleted; audit log + financial records retained for 7 years per Companies Act / GST.
3. Mid-cycle cancellation
If you cancel mid-year on an annual plan:
- Within 30 days: see Refund Policy โ full refund.
- After 30 days: no pro-rata refund, but service continues until end of paid period.
- You can change your mind any time before the period end โ un-cancel from Settings โ Billing.
4. Data export before you go
Before cancelling, export everything:
- Customers / Items / Vendors: Settings โ Export โ CSV.
- Invoices / Bills / Payments: per-list CSV/Excel button on each section.
- GST returns: downloaded as portal JSON + Excel from the GST โ returns page.
- Audit log: available in admin (super-admin only).

5. Re-activation
Within 90 days of cancellation: log in โ Settings โ Billing โ Re-activate. Pay for the new period; everything restores instantly.
After 90 days: signup as a new account. We can't restore old data once it's deleted.
6. Account deletion
If you want your data deleted before the 90-day grace period expires, email team@ketpy.com. Honoured within 30 days, subject to mandatory financial retention (audit + GST records โ 7 years per Companies Act).
